Day 01: Drive to Tarangire National Park.
Pick up from your overnight lodge / Hotel, head west out of Arusha, and drive (2.00 – 2.5 hrs) to Tarangire National Park.
“Tarangire boasts a vast number of baobabs that first capture the eye as you enter Tarangire National Park. The gently rolling countryside is dotted with these majestic trees, which seem to dwarf the animals that feed beneath them. Tarangire National Park covers approximately 2,600 square kilometers and, in the dry season, is second only to Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area in concentrations of wildlife. The park is spectacular in the dry season when many of the migratory wildlife species come back to the permanent waters of the Tarangire River. Huge herds of elephants gather to stay in Tarangire until the onset of the rains, when they migrate again to new grazing areas”. Picnic Lunch en route, later afternoon drive to Karatu town for overnight.
Dinner and overnight at TTC Mobile Camp – Makuyuni – D, B, L

There is savanna, bushland, forests, and lakes, inhabited by the same range of game, from Elephant to Lion to Wildebeest; there is even a soda lake for the Flamingos. We will spend the day exploring the Ngorongoro Crater, which is a World Heritage Site, home to nearly 25,000 animals, giving you a very real chance of spotting the big five: lion, elephant, endangered black rhino, buffalo, and leopard, plus countless other African mammal species. Witness the magnificent array of habitats, each with its own unique wildlife and flora. Take time out to stretch your legs and enjoy a picnic lunch at Ngoitokitok Springs, watching the hippos jostle for position in the water. Continue with the game till evening, ascend, and drive back to Arusha.
There will be an Opportunity for souvenir shopping at this point. The gallery is beautifully decorated and full of high-quality, authentic artworks, sculptures, antiques, fabrics, and textiles from Tanzania.
